1 µg/mL of MA5-45542 was sufficient for detection of Ankyrin-G in 20 µg of rat brain membrane lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately >200 kDa.
This antibody was formerly sold as clone S106-20.
Target Information
Ankyrin-G is expressed in multiple tissues including brain, where it appears as two isoforms localized at axon initial segments and nodes of Ranvier due to tissue-specific RNA processing. It is also found at epithelial cell-cell contact sites and intracellular membranes. Ankyrin-G isoforms contain a serine/threonine-rich region following the globular head domain. It is involved in maintenance and targeting of ion channels and cell adhesion molecules to the nodes of Ranvier and axon initial segments.
