Nalgene™ Water Quality Membrane

Cellulose nitrate membrane filters have official certification for water quality work.

Manufactured for the bacteriological analysis of potable, waste and natural waters in accordance with the membrane filtration procedures referenced in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, current edition.

• Filters and ink are nontoxic, free of bacterial growth inhibiting or stimulating substances
• White with green grid and sterile
• Membranes wet uniformly within 15 seconds with no dry spots when floated on reagent grade water
• Filter diameter is 47mm; mean pore diameter is 0.45 μm
• Membrane flow is 55 ml/min/cm2 at 25°C, differential pressure of 93kPa
• pH of filtrate: ≤7.5
• Recovery using Escherichia coli met or exceeded 90% in comparison to a pour plate
