Amino Acid Sequence of recombinant protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure recombinant murine MCP-2 (CCL8). Anti-Murine MCP-2 (CCL8)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect murine MCP-2 (CCL8) by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, together with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine MCP-2 (CCL8) (500-P127) as capture antibody, detects at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant MCP-2.

Western Blot:
For detection of mMCP-2, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit for recombinant mMCP-2 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

This antimicrobial gene belongs to the chemokine gene cluster on chromosome 17q. Chemokines are secreted proteins involved in immune regulation and inflammation. The CC subfamily, characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues, includes MCP-2 (CCL8). This cytokine shows chemotactic activity for monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils, and eosinophils, contributing to leukocyte recruitment during inflammation and possibly to tumor-associated infiltration and antiviral responses.
