Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, which possess helicase and ATPase activities and are involved in regulating transcription by altering chromatin structure. The encoded protein is part of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and shows sequence similarity to the yeast Swp73 protein. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
