Reconstitute in 100 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20°C for higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent.

Target Information

TRPV1 (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 1) is a receptor for capsaicin, the main pungent ingredient in hot chili peppers, and elicits a sensation of burning pain by selectively activating sensory neurons.
TRPV1 is a non-selective cation channel related to the TRP family (e.g., TRPC3, TRPC6) and is permeable to calcium, magnesium, and monovalent cations such as sodium and potassium.
Structurally, TRPV1 contains six transmembrane domains, a P-loop membrane domain, and three ankyrin repeat domains.
It is activated by noxious heat and functions as a transducer of painful thermal stimuli. TRPV1 mediates proton influx and may contribute to intracellular acidosis in nociceptive neurons.
Expression is mainly limited to sensory ganglia neurons. Four transcript variants with different 5′ UTR sequences have been described.
Diseases associated with TRPV1 include Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Bladder Disease.
