Product Specific Information
Reconstitute in 50 µL of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material. After reconstitution, keep aliquots at -20°C for higher stability, and at 4°C with an appropriate antibacterial agent.
Target Information
VLR-1 (TRPV2) is a calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel with outward rectification, regulated by growth factors such as IGF1, PDGF, and morphogenetic neuropeptides. It is activated by high temperatures (~52°C) rather than capsaicin or acid. Expressed mainly in medium- to large-diameter sensory neurons, VRL-1 may mediate high-threshold heat responses. Expression extends beyond sensory tissues, suggesting activation by other stimuli. VRL-1 is part of the TRPV family of vanilloid-like TRP channels.
