Cyclin D1 (PRAD-1, bcl-1)은 세포 주기 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 단백질로, CDK4 및 CDK6과 결합하여 Rb 단백질을 인산화시킵니다. Cyclin D1은 다양한 인간 종양에서 과발현되는 원형암 유전자이며, 세포 증식 및 분화 조절에 관여합니다. 인간의 CCND1 유전자는 염색체 11에 위치하며, G1 단계에서 합성되어 CDK 복합체를 형성하고 세포 주기 G1/S 전환을 매개합니다. Cyclin D1의 불안정성과 유비퀴틴 매개 분해는 G1/S 단계 정지에 기여합니다. 이 단백질은 세포 주기 생물학 및 암 관련 연구에서 유용한 표적입니다.
