Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse HGF/Hepatocyte Growth Factor.
Target Information
Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) regulates cell growth, motility, and morphogenesis via activation of the c-Met receptor tyrosine kinase signaling cascade. Secreted by mesenchymal cells, HGF acts as a multifunctional cytokine primarily on epithelial cells. It plays a central role in angiogenesis, tumorigenesis, and tissue regeneration by stimulating mitogenesis, motility, and matrix invasion.
HGF is secreted as an inactive single-chain precursor and cleaved by serine proteases into a 69-kDa alpha chain and a 34-kDa beta chain, forming an active heterodimer via a disulfide bond. Although part of the plasminogen subfamily of S1 peptidases, it lacks protease activity. Multiple isoforms are produced through alternative splicing.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
