Rat anti-Dog CD45 antibody, clone YKIX716.13, recognizes canine CD45 (leukocyte common antigen), classified as Canine CD45 in the First Canine Leukocyte Antigen Workshop (CLAW).
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, constituting about 10% of lymphocyte surface proteins. It is absent in non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues.
CD45 is crucial in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases. Multiple isoforms arise from alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains but sharing identical transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions.
CD45RA, an isoform of CD45, shows restricted expression among lymphoid subtypes. CD45 isoforms vary in membrane domain localization and expression depending on cell type and physiological state.
CD45 regulates T- and B-cell receptor signaling, suppresses JAK kinases, modulates integrin-mediated signaling, and influences apoptosis and other immune functions.
