Specificity: This antibody recognizes FOXP4 (Forkhead box protein P4). It binds to a folded domain (amino acids 302–541). FOXP4 is a transcriptional repressor that represses lung-specific expression.
Target Information
FOXP4 gene belongs to subfamily P of the forkhead box (FOX) transcription factor family. These transcription factors regulate tissue- and cell type-specific gene transcription during development and adulthood. Many FOX family members, including subfamily P, are implicated in mammalian oncogenesis. FOXP4 may play a role in tumor development in the kidney and larynx. Alternative splicing of this gene produces multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
