Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human SDF-1β (CXCL12). Anti-Human SDF-1β (CXCL12)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human SDF-1β by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human SDF-1β (500-P87BG) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human SDF-1β.

Western Blot:
To detect Human SDF-1β by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
Detection limit for Recombinant Human SDF-1β is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

This gene and its receptor CXCR4 can activate lymphocytes and are implicated in metastasis of certain cancers such as breast cancer.
Mutations in this gene are associated with resistance to HIV-1 infection.
Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
