Target Information
E3 SUMO-protein ligase ZNF451 shows preference for SUMO2 and SUMO3, facilitating UBE2I/UBC9-mediated sumoylation. Plays a role in SUMO2 modification under DNA damage or proteasome inhibition stress. Required for MCM4 sumoylation.
It negatively regulates SMAD4-mediated transcription in response to TGF-beta signaling and inhibits EP300-mediated histone H3 acetylation at Lys-9. Also involved in transcriptional regulation of AR targets.
