MRE11 (double-strand break repair protein MRE11)은 MRN 복합체의 구성 요소로, DNA 이중 가닥 절단 복구, 재조합, 텔로미어 유지 및 감수분열 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
이 복합체는 MRE11에 의해 제공되는 단일 가닥 엔도뉴클레이스 및 이중 가닥 특이적 3′–5′ 엑소뉴클레이스 활성을 가집니다.
RAD50은 DNA 말단을 결합하고 근접하게 유지하는 데 필요합니다.
유전자 변이는 ataxia-telangiectasia-like disorder 1과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
