Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that mediates signaling in response to various growth factors. Overexpression of EGFR is associated with multiple cancer types, making it a key target for both biological and small molecule therapeutics.
The EGFR gene is located on human chromosome 7 and belongs to the HER/ERbB family, which includes ERbB2, ERbB3, and ERbB4.
EGFR functions as a transmembrane receptor; ligand binding (e.g., EGF, TGF-α) induces dimerization and autophosphorylation of tyrosine residues in its cytoplasmic domain.
Overexpression has been observed in tumors of the head and neck, brain, bladder, stomach, breast, lung, endometrium, cervix, vulva, ovary, esophagus, and in squamous cell carcinoma.
