For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.
Recommended desalting product: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

The CD4 antigen is involved in recognition of MHC class II molecules and serves as a co-receptor for HIV.
It is primarily expressed in T helper cells, but also found in monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells.
At the tissue level, CD4 expression is detected in thymus, lymph nodes, tonsils, spleen, and certain brain and gut regions.
CD4 contributes to T-cell activation through association with the T-cell receptor complex and Lck kinase, and may play a role in neuronal damage in immune-mediated diseases.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts have been identified (RefSeq, July 2017).
