For maximum recovery, please spin prior to use. Aliquots of 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes are not recommended; use in original packaging until exhausted. For larger sizes, aliquoting can reduce freeze/thaw cycles, but aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended. Do not store kinase diluted. Properly stored at -80°C, product is guaranteed for 6 months from purchase.

This recombinant fusion protein consists of the catalytic domain of transforming growth factor beta receptor 2 (TGFBR2) and a glutathione S-transferase (GST) tag. It is validated in the LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding Assay. No special activation was performed.

Easily Screen for Kinase Binding

The LanthaScreen™ Eu Kinase Binding Assay is a TR-FRET assay enabling measurement of inhibitor binding to non-activated kinases, simple off-rate measurements, and study of type III (allosteric) inhibitors.
The assay uses a mix-and-read format with one-hour incubation and no development steps. Binding of an Alexa Fluor™ tracer to a tagged kinase is detected via europium-labeled anti-GST antibody. Simultaneous binding produces strong FRET; displacement by a kinase inhibitor reduces FRET.

Target Information

Transforming Growth Factor, beta receptor 2 (TGFBR2; also known as AAT3, FAA3, MFS2, RIIC, LDS1B, LDS2B, TAAD2, TGFR-2, TGFbeta-RII) is a member of the TGF-beta receptor serine/threonine kinase family involved in regulation of cell proliferation.
TGFBR2 encodes the gamma subunit of the catalytic core of mitochondrial ATP synthase, which catalyzes ATP synthesis using a proton gradient across the inner membrane during oxidative phosphorylation. The enzyme consists of F1 (soluble catalytic core) and Fo (membrane proton channel) complexes. Alternative splicing produces different isoforms, and a pseudogene exists on chromosome 14.
