Target Information
ZIP7 (SLC39A7) is a zinc transporter belonging to a family of divalent ion transporters. Zinc is essential for cellular growth, development, and differentiation. ZIP7 is localized to the Golgi apparatus and mediates zinc transport from the Golgi to the cytoplasm. It may act as a hub for tyrosine kinase activation and is considered a potential therapeutic target in cancer and other diseases involving tyrosine kinase signaling.
