Target Information
STAT5 alpha는 STAT 전사인자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 사이토카인 및 성장인자 자극 시 수용체 연관 키나아제에 의해 인산화되어 핵으로 이동 후 전사 활성화에 관여합니다.
STAT5α는 IL2, IL3, IL7, GM-CSF, erythropoietin, thrombopoietin, 성장호르몬 등 다양한 리간드에 의해 활성화되며, TEL/JAK2 유전자 융합에 의해 발생하는 골수종 및 림프종에서 세포 자극 없이도 활성화되어 종양 형성에 필수적 역할을 합니다.
생쥐 STAT5α는 항아포토시스 기능을 가진 BCL2L1/BCL-X(L) 발현을 유도하며, STAT5β와 함께 대부분의 조직에서 공발현됩니다. 두 단백질은 96%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가지며, 근육 및 유선 조직에서 상이한 mRNA 축적 양상을 보입니다.
STAT5α는 생식, 수유, 면역 기능, 체성 성장 등 다양한 생리학적 과정에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
