Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Monkey, Bat, Elephant, Horse, Guinea pig (100%); Orangutan, Gibbon, Bovine (95%); Panda (89%); Opossum (84%).
For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
G-protein coupled receptor for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin). Functions as a receptor for various alkaloids and psychoactive substances. Ligand binding triggers signaling via G proteins and modulates downstream effectors such as adenylate cyclase. Signaling inhibits adenylate cyclase activity.
