This antibody detects endogenous levels of total MARK1/2/3/4.
Target Information
MARK1 (MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 1) belongs to the MARK family of serine/threonine kinases. These kinases phosphorylate microtubule-associated proteins and may play a role in cytoskeletal stability.
- MARK2: Also known as MAP/microtubule affinity-regulating kinase 2 isoform a (Homo sapiens). EMK (ELKL Motif Kinase) is involved in cell polarity, microtubule stability, and cancer.
- MARK3: Identified as a marker induced by DNA damage; loss of MARK3 is associated with pancreatic carcinogenesis.
- MARK4: Contains N-terminal serine/threonine kinase, central ubiquitin-associated, and C-terminal KA1-associated kinase domains. RT-PCR shows upregulated expression in hepatocellular carcinoma cells.
