Product Specific Information

MA5-14473 targets Cytokeratin 5 in IHC (P) applications and shows reactivity with human samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues on the C-terminal of human CK5.

Target Information

Cytokeratin pan belongs to a subfamily of intermediate filament proteins characterized by biochemical diversity and represented in human epithelial tissues by at least 20 different polypeptides.
Cytokeratins have molecular weights between 40–68 kDa and isoelectric points between pH 4.9–7.8.
Human cytokeratins are numbered 1–20, and their expression varies by epithelial type, maturation, and differentiation stage.

Cytokeratin subtype expression patterns assist in distinguishing epithelial malignancies.
Cytokeratin antibodies are valuable tools in tumor differential diagnosis, cytopathology, and flow cytometry.
Keratins serve as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis, with composition varying by cell type, growth environment, and disease state.
