Product Specific Information
The monoclonal rat IgG1, kappa antibody is used as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
This rat IgG1 isotype control has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
The eFluor 506 rat IgG1 isotype control has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocyte suspensions and can be used at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Target Information
Rat IgG1 is a subclass of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies produced by rats in response to antigens. It is commonly used as a negative control in experiments, as it does not bind to many mammalian antigens.
Applications include immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blotting to detect specific antigens.
Rat IgG1 antibodies can be purified from serum or hybridoma culture supernatants.
Gene targeting enables manipulation of the rat genome to study gene function and disease mechanisms.
