Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to prevent contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broader immunoreactivity due to large rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody specifically recognizes Mouse IL1RL1/IL-1 R4/ST2.
Target Information
IL-33R (also known as ST2) is a receptor for IL-33 and a member of the IL-1 receptor family. Its extracellular domain has three Ig-like domains that interact with the co-receptor IL-1RAcP and ligand IL-33. IL-33 binding activates NF-κB and MAPK pathways via adaptor proteins (MyD88, IRAK1, IRAK4, TRAF6), leading to the release of cytokines such as IL-5, IL-6, IL-8, and IL-13.
Two major isoforms of IL-33R result from alternative splicing:
- ST2L: Membrane-bound form
- ST2S: Soluble form (acts as a decoy receptor)
IL-33R is primarily expressed by mast cells, basophils, and eosinophils. In mice, expression is also found in ILC2 and Th2 cells. IL-33R signaling is implicated in immune conditions such as allergies, arthritis, atherosclerosis, and sepsis.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
