Target Information
PRELP는 결합 조직의 세포외 기질에 존재하는 leucine-rich repeat 단백질로, basement membrane을 하부 결합 조직에 고정하는 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 basement membrane의 type I collagen 및 cartilage의 type II collagen에 결합하며, perlecan과도 상호작용합니다.
또한 Hutchinson-Gilford progeria (HGP)의 병태생리에 관여하는 것으로 제안되며, HGP에서는 collagen 결합 결핍이 보고되었습니다.
