Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
MAPK7 (ERK5) serine/threonine kinase is a member of the MAP kinase family involved in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development. Activated by MAP2K5/MEK5, MAPK7 translocates to the nucleus to regulate gene expression via phosphorylation of transcription factors.
Gene deletion of MAPK7 in mice causes defective blood vessel and cardiac development, leading to embryonic lethality. ERK5 is essential for endothelial function and vascular integrity. It is expressed in many adult tissues including heart, placenta, lung, kidney, and skeletal muscle, but not in liver.
