PDPK1 (3-Phosphoinositide Dependent Protein Kinase 1)는 AGC 키나아제 계열의 인산화를 매개하며, PKC 및 PKC zeta를 활성화합니다. 또한, phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate 존재 하에서 Protein Kinase B (PKB)를 Thr308에서 인산화합니다. 활성화된 Akt는 Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 (GSK3)를 불활성화시켜 글리코겐 합성을 촉진합니다. PDPK1은 인슐린 신호 경로 및 대사성 질환 연구에서 중요한 타겟 단백질로 알려져 있습니다.
