Target Information
Ubiquitin은 세포 단백질을 26S proteasome을 통해 분해하도록 표적화하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 고도로 보존된 단백질입니다. 이 유전자는 N-말단에 ubiquitin, C-말단에 ribosomal protein S27a를 포함하는 융합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 효모에서 발현될 때, 단백질은 번역 후 가공되어 자유 ubiquitin 단량체와 ribosomal protein S27a를 생성합니다. Ribosomal protein S27a는 40S 리보솜 소단위체의 구성 요소이며, S27AE 리보솜 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. C4-type zinc finger 도메인을 포함하고 세포질에 위치합니다. 해당 유전자로부터 유래한 pseudogene이 존재합니다. 유사하게, ribosomal protein L40과 S30 역시 ubiquitin 또는 ubiquitin-like 단백질과 융합된 형태로 합성됩니다.
