Target Information
Dicer는 double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) endoribonuclease로, 짧은 dsRNA 매개 전사 후 유전자 침묵(post-transcriptional gene silencing)에 중심적인 역할을 합니다.
이 효소는 긴 dsRNA와 pre-microRNA (miRNA)를 21–23 뉴클레오타이드 길이의 조각으로 절단하여 short interfering RNAs (siRNA)와 mature microRNAs (miRNA)를 생성합니다.
이들 siRNA와 miRNA는 RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC)를 유도하여 상보적인 RNA를 분해하거나 번역을 억제합니다.
RNA interference는 이동성 및 반복 DNA 요소에서 유래한 전사체의 제거뿐만 아니라 바이러스성 RNA의 분해에도 관여합니다.
miRNA 경로는 특정 유전자 발현을 정밀하게 조절하는 수단으로 작용합니다.
