Product Specific Information
This TULY56 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD56 (Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule, NCAM), a glycosylated transmembrane molecule expressed by neurons and NK/NKT cells.
TULY56 and CMSSB recognize different epitopes; TULY56 shows better performance after fixation and permeabilization.
Crossreacts with Rhesus macaque.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and validated for flow cytometry of human peripheral blood cells at 5 µL/test (0.125 µg/test).
- Recommended Cell Range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
- Fluorochrome: Brilliant Ultra Violet™ 805 (BUV805), emits at 797 nm, UV laser excitation (355 nm).
- Buffer Recommendation: Use Super Bright or Brilliant Stain Buffer to minimize polymer interactions.
- Light Sensitivity: Protect from light to prevent photo-induced oxidation.
- Fixation Compatibility: Stable up to 3 days at 4°C in IC Fixation Buffer or Fix/Lyse Solution. Compatible with short-term methanol fixation (<1 hour).
- Laser Excitation/Emission: 355 nm / 797 nm.

Target Information
CD56 (NCAM) is a transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, migration, and synaptic plasticity.
Expressed in neurons, NK cells, and T cells.
Associated with neuroectodermal-derived tumors (retinoblastoma, medulloblastoma, astrocytoma, neuroblastoma) and neuroendocrine markers.
Altered CD56 function is linked to diseases such as rabies and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasms.
