Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:
- High specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulation
- Broad immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire
Target Information
Tissue-type plasminogen activator (TPA) converts plasminogen to plasmin by hydrolyzing a single Arg-Val bond. It plays a crucial role in tissue remodeling, cell migration, and various physiological and pathological events.
TPA binds fibrin with high affinity, increasing catalytic efficiency up to 1000-fold. It also interacts with heparin, laminin, fibronectin, mannose receptor, and LRP1, which are involved in clearance. Additionally, TPA binds annexin II and cytokeratin 8, and its binding to endothelial and vascular smooth muscle cells enhances plasminogen activation and reduces inhibition by PAI-1.
