Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in HEK293 cells. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The PKC family of serine/threonine kinases, including PRKCA (PKC alpha), is activated intracellularly by signal transduction pathways. In humans, at least 12 PKC isoforms have been identified, differing in structure, localization, and activation mechanisms.
PKC alpha, beta I, beta II, and gamma form the conventional family, which are Ca²⁺- and phospholipid-dependent. PKC enzymes phosphorylate diverse protein targets and participate in various signaling pathways. They also serve as receptors for phorbol esters, known tumor promoters.
PKC alpha is involved in:
- Cell adhesion and transformation
- Cell cycle checkpoint control
- Regulation of cell volume
- Cardiac contractility and Ca²⁺ handling (as shown in knockout studies)
