Target Information
IRAK3 (Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 3) is a serine/threonine kinase and a member of the IRAK protein family, essential in Toll/IL-R immune signal transduction. It is primarily expressed in monocytes and macrophages and functions as a negative regulator of Toll-like receptor signaling. IRAK3 plays a role in innate immunity and immunosuppression during sepsis. Mutations in IRAK3 are associated with asthma susceptibility.
