Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed, followed by screening for optimal clones.

Target Information

MERTK (cMER) is a tyrosine kinase proto-oncogene involved in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) phagocytosis pathway, associated with retinal diseases.
It regulates cell survival, migration, differentiation, and efferocytosis. Ligand binding induces autophosphorylation, creating docking sites for downstream signaling molecules such as GRB2 and PLCG2, leading to activation of MAPK1, MAPK2, FAK/PTK2, and RAC1.
MERTK signaling contributes to macrophage-mediated clearance of apoptotic cells, platelet aggregation, cytoskeletal reorganization, and inhibition of TLR-mediated innate immune responses via STAT1 activation and SOCS1/SOCS3 induction.
