Target Information
이 유전자는 번역 억제 단백질 패밀리의 구성원을 암호화합니다. 해당 단백질은 eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E(eIF4E)와 직접 상호작용하며, 이는 mRNA의 5' 말단에 40S 리보솜 소단위를 모집하는 복합체의 제한 구성요소입니다. 4EBP1 단백질이 eIF4E와 결합하면 복합체 형성이 억제되어 번역이 억제됩니다. 자외선 조사나 인슐린 신호 등 다양한 자극에 의해 인산화되면 eIF4E로부터 분리되어 mRNA 번역이 활성화됩니다.
