Target Information
DACH1 is a transcription factor involved in organogenesis regulation. It acts as a regulator of SIX1, SIX6, and possibly SIX5. DACH1 modulates transcriptional activity through interactions with EYA3 and CREBBP, functioning as a corepressor or coactivator depending on context. It represses cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (e.g., p27Kip1 promoter) and inhibits TGF-beta signaling via interaction with SMAD4 and NCOR1. DACH1 binds chromatin DNA through its DACHbox-N domain.
