This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor (CDNF) is a neurotrophic factor for dopaminergic neurons, highly homologous to mesencephalic-astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor. CDNF is expressed at higher levels in tissues such as heart, skeletal muscle, and testes than in brain.
Similar to glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF), CDNF can prevent the 6-hydroxylamine (6-OHDA)-induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in a rat model of Parkinson’s disease. Furthermore, CDNF restores dopaminergic function and prevents degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, suggesting potential therapeutic value for Parkinson’s disease.
At least two isoforms of CDNF are known to exist.
