Product Specific Information
PA1-1041 detects lysophosphatidic acid receptor 1 (LPA1) protein in rat, human, mouse, and Xenopus samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot procedures, detecting an approximately 42 kDa protein in PC12 and HeLa whole cell lysates, as well as mouse and Xenopus liver samples.
The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues L(348)-V(364) of human LPA1.
This sequence is completely conserved in human, mouse, rat, and bovine.
The corresponding peptide (Cat. # PEP-233) is available for use in neutralization and control experiments.
Target Information
EDG2 belongs to a family of G-protein coupled receptors whose ligands are lysophospholipids.
There are eight known members of the EDG receptor family, which mediate growth-related effects such as induction of cellular proliferation, modulation of differentiation and survival, and suppression of apoptosis.
They also evoke cellular effector functions dependent on cytoskeletal responses such as contraction, secretion, adhesion, and chemotaxis.
