Product Specific Information
The eBio500A2 monoclonal antibody reacts with the 25 kD epsilon subunit of the mouse CD3 complex. CD3 subunits gamma, delta and epsilon are required for proper assembly, trafficking and surface expression of the TCR complex. CD3 is expressed by thymocytes in a developmentally regulated manner and by all mature T cells, as well as NKT cells. Binding of eBio500A2 to CD3 initiates intracellular signaling pathways leading to activation and proliferation.

- Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis at ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume).
- Recommended: Titrate antibody for optimal performance.
- Excitation: 488–561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green.
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
The CD3 complex is essential for transducing antigen-recognition signals into T cells and regulating TCR surface expression. CD3 subunits (gamma, delta, epsilon, zeta) are structurally related members of the immunoglobulin superfamily encoded on chromosome 11. These subunits contain cytoplasmic tails that interact with signal transduction molecules via tyrosine-based motifs. CD3 is expressed on most thymocytes and peripheral T cells but not on B or NK cells. Defects in CD3 genes are associated with CD3 immunodeficiency.
