Product Specific Information

The monoclonal mouse IgG2b is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.

• Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.
• Applications Tested: Tested on normal human peripheral blood cells; use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
• Fluorochrome Information: Super Bright 436 can be excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Recommended filter: 450/50 bandpass or equivalent. Ensure the instrument supports this fluorochrome.
• Buffer Recommendation: When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

Mouse IgG2b is a subtype of immunoglobulin G antibody produced by B cells in response to antigens. It is the third most abundant IgG subtype in serum and plays a crucial role in adaptive immune response.
It is composed of two heavy and two light chains, involved in:

• Opsonization
• Complement activation
• Antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity

Mouse IgG2b also regulates immune responses such as T-cell activation and B-cell inhibition. It is widely used in research and diagnostics (ELISA, Western blotting, immunohistochemistry) and in therapeutic development (immunotherapy, vaccine research).
