Product Specific Information
The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.
Super Bright 436 can be excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. A 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent is recommended. Ensure the instrument can detect this fluorochrome.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information
Isotype control antibodies are used to distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal. They have no relevant specificity to a target antigen and serve as negative controls.
They are primarily used in flow cytometry but can also be applied in ChIP, immunohistochemistry, and gel shift assays.
Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody and, if directly labeled, use the same fluorochrome.
