Product Specific Information

Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with monkey and human based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with HDAC6 from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

HDAC6 is responsible for the deacetylation of lysine residues on the N-terminal part of the core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4).
Histone deacetylation provides a tag for epigenetic repression and plays an important role in transcriptional regulation, cell cycle progression, and developmental events.
Histone deacetylases act via the formation of large multiprotein complexes and play a central role in microtubule-dependent cell motility via deacetylation of tubulin.
