Anti-EDC3 pS161 is specific for phospho S161 mouse EDC3.
A BLAST analysis suggests cross-reactivity with rabbit, pig, monkey, bovine, rat, mouse, and bat based on 100% sequence homology.
Cross-reactivity with EDC3 pS161 from other sources has not been determined.

Target Information

This gene encodes a protein important in mRNA degradation.
The encoded protein is a component of a decapping complex that promotes efficient removal of the monomethylguanosine (m7G) cap from mRNAs, as part of the 5′ to 3′ mRNA decay pathway.
Mutations in this gene have been identified in human patients with an autosomal recessive form of intellectual disability.
