Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody SolA15 recognizes mouse and rat Ki-67, a 300 kDa nuclear protein expressed during all active phases of the cell cycle (G1, S, G2, and mitosis), but absent in resting cells (G0). Ki-67 redistributes from the nucleus to chromosomes during mitosis and is widely used as a marker for determining cell proliferation rates.
This antibody also recognizes human, non-human primate, and canine Ki-67.
Reported application: intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis.
Tested Application: Intracellular staining of mouse splenocytes using the Foxp3/Transcription Factor Staining Buffer Set (Product #00-5523-00).
Recommended use: ≤1.0 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize antibody titration per assay.
Fluorochrome Information:
Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) emits at 479 nm and is suitable for cytometers with a violet (405 nm) laser.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product #SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product #00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions when using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies.
Not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information
Ki-67 is a nuclear protein expressed during late G1, S, G2, and M phases of the cell cycle. It associates with euchromatin and heterochromatin regions and is absent in G0 cells. Because its expression correlates with cell proliferation, Ki-67 is widely used as a marker to assess tumor growth and cell cycling activity. The Ki-67 labeling index provides prognostic value in various cancer studies.
