Product Specific Information

The eBio299Arm monoclonal antibody is useful as an isotype control immunoglobulin.
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells and mouse splenocytes.
Use at the same concentration as the experimental antibody.

Brilliant Violet™ 480 (BV480) emits at 479 nm and is intended for use on cytometers equipped with a violet (405 nm) laser. Ensure instrument compatibility before use.

When using multiple polymer dye-conjugated antibodies (e.g., Super Bright, Brilliant Violet™, Brilliant Ultra Violet™), use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401-42) or Brilliant Stain Buffer™ (Product # 00-4409-75) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Compatibility note: BV480 is not compatible with methanol-based fixation.

Target Information

Isotype control antibodies help distinguish non-specific background signal from specific antibody signal.
They have no relevant specificity to a target antigen and are used as negative controls in applications such as:

• Flow Cytometry
• Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP)
• Immunohistochemistry
• Gel Shift Assays

Isotype controls should match the species and isotype of the primary antibody for accurate comparison.
For directly labeled antibodies, use a control conjugated with the same label as the test antibody.
