Target Information
SSTR2 (somatostatin receptor 2) is a seven-transmembrane receptor expressed predominantly in the cerebrum and kidney. Somatostatin inhibits the release of various hormones and secretory proteins. The receptor is coupled via pertussis toxin-sensitive G proteins to inhibit adenylyl cyclase.
