GAU 010-04-02 detects Complement Factor D in human samples.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and as a capture antibody in sandwich ELISA with GAU 008-01-02 as the detection antibody.
Target Information
Complement Factor D is a serine protease involved in the alternative pathway of complement activation.
It is a single-chain polypeptide (~25 kDa) that cleaves Factor B bound to C3b, generating the alternative pathway C3 convertase (C3bBb) and releasing the Ba fragment.
