Target Information

MET (c-Met) is a receptor-like tyrosine kinase linked to various human malignancies. Upon ligand activation, MET interacts with PI3K subunit PIK3R1, PLCG1, SRC, GRB2, and STAT3, leading to activation of signaling cascades such as RAS-ERK, PI3K-AKT, and PLCγ-PKC.
MET is involved in embryonic development (gastrulation, muscle and neuron formation, angiogenesis, kidney development) and adult processes (wound healing, organ regeneration, tissue remodeling). Dysregulation of MET is associated with cancers including gastric, renal, and breast, making it a significant target for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics.
