Antibody detects endogenous levels of FH only when phosphorylated at T90.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is an enzymatic component of the tricarboxylic acid (Krebs) cycle and catalyzes the formation of L-malate from fumarate. It exists in both cytosolic and mitochondrial forms, differing only by the translation start site. The mitochondrial form is generated by N-terminal extension removal. This enzyme functions as a homotetramer and is similar to thermostable class II fumarases. Mutations in this gene can cause fumarase deficiency, leading to progressive encephalopathy.
