Product Specific Information
This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages of recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies:
- Better specificity and sensitivity
- Lot-to-lot consistency
- Animal origin-free formulations
- Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire
This antibody has specificity for Mouse Tetranectin/CLEC3B.
Target Information
Tetranectin (TN) is a serum and tissue C-type lectin protein that binds Ca++. It forms a homotrimer of monomers (each 20 kDa). Plasma or serum concentrations of TN are approximately 10 mg/L.
In vitro, TN binds to kringle 4 of plasminogen and enhances activation of plasminogen to plasmin, catalyzed by tissue plasminogen activator in the presence of poly-D-lysine. TN is known as a prognostic marker in ovarian cancer.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
