Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

This antibody is specific for Mouse CLEC4N/CLEC6A/Dectin-2.

Target Information

Dectin-2 is a C-type lectin expressed by dendritic cells, macrophages, and inflammatory monocytes. It functions as a type II membrane receptor with a short cytoplasmic tail and a C-terminal C-type lectin domain. Dectin-2 recognizes high mannose structures and mediates cytokine production in antigen-presenting cells.

Although Dectin-2 lacks obvious signaling motifs, it employs FcRγ for internalization and activates the NF-κB pathway for cytokine production. Despite sharing only 20–25% homology with Dectin-1, Dectin-2 acts as a pattern recognition receptor (PRR) for fungal infections, activating both innate (Syk–CARD9 pathway) and adaptive immune responses via dendritic cell activation.

Dectin-2 serves as a connector between innate and adaptive immunity at the dendritic cell level.
